Erriyon Knighton Cleared to Compete at Olympic Trials after Provisional Suspension Is Lifted
Knighton had been provisionally suspended since April 12 after testing positive for the banned substance trenbolone -- the same substance for which Jarrion Lawson was banned (and subsequently cleared). 10K Road WR Holder Rhonex Kipruto Banned Six Years for ABP Violations
The AIU has upheld its suspension of Kipruto who will lose his 10k road world record and 2019 Worlds 10k bronze as a result. Kipruto is the first athlete coached by the famed Brother Colm O'Connell to receive a ban and he went to great lengths to try to prove his innocence. In addition to creating a website, he went on a series of benders over the span of 7 weeks to see if that would impact his blood values in the ABP as he admits he's an alcoholic.
