I love this shoe, and hate that they always tweak new versions. I’m running out of availability online of the old model to buy. I have a wide toe bed but narrow ankle, and these have been a perfect fit, I wear a half size up. I do feel like they need to be replaced sooner than the recommended mileage replacement.
I like the narrow fit and the fact that it doesn't have any material pushing into my arch (I have somewhat flat feet). I'd like if the drop was 4mm instead of 8mm. I've run ~300 miles of marathon training so far and love the shoe! It's the first time I've tried it - switched from Brooks PureFlows.
Have run this on the trail/road for a year. Comfortable shoe, never a problem. Durable. Fairly fast. Good value if you buy it in sale.
More durable than the Saucony Triumph.
A slight improvement compared to the Ride 5.
Durable everyday training shoe. I have 3 pairs in rotation.
Wear 4x a week, averaging about 30 miles. Rotate with Kinvara 5, which gets used for workouts 2x a week.
First pair the sole shriveled up in a wet field on the third run. Not happy about that. Otherwise a fairly plain and comfortable shoe.
Been running 10+ years in support shoes (many pairs of omnis) but won a shoe voucher in a race, Went to speciality running store and went on the treadmill for gait analysis and I was suggested neutral shoes. I like Saucony (their shoes like me!) so I tried some Ride 7 shoes. Excellent. Nice colour, comfy, no issues whatsoever in 420 miles. I keep my shoes up to about 1000 miles so loads of wear left in them.
A bit firmer than my prior shoe (Brooks Ghost 7), but I really enjoy the ride. Firmness makes it feel a bit faster, but still plenty cushioned for longer runs. Very light as well for a standard shoe. Sole seems to be wearing rather quickly (have just under 150 miles on them), so that's a bit of a concern. Got it way on sale for some reason at a big box store at $70 (maybe it was mislabeled?).
Generally very, very pleased with the shoe.
Looks great, feels good, sole wears to quickly..
Saucony makes a good shoe have had like 6 pairs Virattas, guide, and ride.
Nice cushioned feel. Lighter weight for a shoe in this class. Flexible forefoot.
