Let me start with how I have a deep personal and emotional attachment to this shoe, mainly because my coach wore the same one when he was at the same level. This shoe has carried me through some of the best races that I've run and some of the worst. They're an easy clean and very comfortable but I do notice if you are running on pavement on a hot day you can feel the heat from the pavement through the sole. I run cross country and there were a few times that I slipped because of the lack of traction, but it was never a big deal on pavement or on more dry surfaces. Generally when I wear running shoes, my ankle feels like it is slipping out and this doesn't happen at all with these shoes, without any kind of special lacing. A really good (and cheaper) option for 3k-10k runners!
Great daily trainer and workhorse shoe. Happy new balance didn't revamp the whole shoe like the pegasus. They addressed some of the issues with the 880v10 by making minor fixes. Now it is one of my favorite running shoes of all time.
