Best balanced shoe that I've ever ran in. It feels similar to the Nike Pegasus, but doesn't have an air bladder that can pop, which makes it much more durable off-road. Good cushion for a fairly lighter shoe.

I bought a previous year's model (value) and ran sparingly in these until making this shoe my primary. The Wave Rider is a good all around shoe. I have not had any injuries while using it as my primary shoe. It's durable and comfortable. It has better arch support than my Wave Enigmas. To make it ideal, it would have a little more cushioning and have a little more bounce.

I use the Wave Rider for regular, long, and slower tempo work. It feels zippy enough to race longer efforts in, especially since minimalist shoes tend to lead to injury in my feet. They tend to conk out after ~350 miles, but feel great until then.

Have used mizuno wave rider, wave creation, ekiden, and now the sonic.

Comfort, fit, and design have appealed to me. I plan to continue wearing mizuno’s For many years to come.

Provided 2+ years of use during warmups, cooldowns, drills and tempos for sprint workouts, on top of weekly recovery runs. Only just starting to show a hole. Comfortable if slightly heavy.

I've been doing the bulk of my easy mileage in wave riders for the past 6 years or so. I average 50-100 miles per week and always use neutral shoes. They are perfect for the long easy runs and base mileage to prevent injuries without being too bulky or too much cushion. They also last a lot longer than cheaper shoes so I think they are a great value.

Used to have them, changed brands, have gone back to it. it is not the most beautiful or technical but it is fairly light and reliable.

Great shoe, better than the 17, Not as springy as the 16. Lightweight, good support for a neutral runner.

It's a great all purpose shoe. A bit lighter than what I had run in previously (so I feel OK using it in workouts) but solid enough as an everyday trainer. I retire my shoes around 400 miles, and have had no visible wear issues in that interval. I'm on my 4th pair now. Only downside is that there is a cut out area under the heel that can pick up rocks, so I don't use these shoes on rocky trails or in heavy mud.

Overall good shoe. A bit expensive but I do not have a lot of choices since I wear a EE. I have had 4 pairs and all of them develop a hole over the big toe in each shoe. Bee running for 35 years and no shoe ever did this.
