Amazing shoes for a runner that runs all three seasons.
After dealing with severe plantar fasciitis throughout high school cross country and track seasons, I made the switch to Brooks Adrenaline and haven't had an injury since. Throughout cross country in college and beyond, Adrenalines have provided me with enough stability and cushion to train upwards of 70 mile weeks without breaking down. My only complaint is that, unlike other running shoes, I would never wear Adrenalines with casual clothes, such as while traveling, because they're pretty consistently unattractive shoes.
Most reliable pair of support shoes. They have gone downhill since the 14 (IMO) AND THE 14 have given the best bang for buck. Long lasting and comfortable.
I've been wearing it for 6 years now. Great, quality shoe to provide support for pronation. Have had some arch pain issues in them however.
The brooks adrenaline is my go to training shoe. Ive used Nike Lunarglides every now and then just to switch things up but the adrenaline last so much longer for me which is the biggest plus. its not super light or anything like that and looks very basic but is an overall solid shoe that i fall back on time and time again.
No blisters whatsoever (except once when I ran in the rain with cotton socks), and have held up well over 1800km. My one issue is that of slightly insufficient toeroom in one foot.
I have had every version since the beginning of the adrenaline line... probably 80+ pairs. I used orthotics before this shoe... I don't need them anymore! Used to Run 90+miles per week off season 50-60 per week in season. Now i'm 50 lbs heavier and run 20 miles per week. Still love the shoes.
It is a very comfortable running shoe right out of the box. After putting some miles on it (50+) the comfort was just as good as it was when I first bought them. The lacing system locks the foot down and does not come loose very easily. I find this shoe to be my favorite for logging "higher" mileage weeks (55+).
1) Best wide width, stability shoe I've been able to find
2) Wish Brooks would make an "Adrenaline-light" shoe. Similar last, wider toe box, just less under the foot--some stability features but lighter and more flexible
3) I've been wearing holes above the big toes in the last two Adrenaline GTS versions I bought--13 and 14, but didn't in the previous versions. Don't know if it's my biomechanics or a change in the material/build of the shoe.
