This comes after weeks of controversy where many athletes complained that the noon start time would possibly lead to hot conditions, but the local organizers in Orlando said USATF had said the noon start time was non-negotiable. The time could go even earlier if needed as USATF said, "contingency plans will be in place for further adjustments should projected weather conditions make it necessary."
