Great North Run - Farah's Final Race

Farah fell off the pace early and finished well behind the top-3 as Bashir Abdi (61:20) and Muktar Edris (61:54) finished 2-3. Olympic marathon champ Peres Jepchirchir won the women's race in 66:45 ahead of Sharon Lokedi (67:43).

Estes lawsuit stems from USATF's decision to disqualify Chattanooga's bid for the 2024 Olympic Marathon Trials because Estes worked as a consultant on Chattanooga's bid. The idea that Siegel cited that conflict of interest as a deal breaker is laughable to us considering "under (Max) Siegel’s watch, USA Track and Field has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of business to an Indianapolis marketing firm that once advertised itself as “a Max Siegel company.”

The 19-year-old finished second in the race to Jamaica’s Natoya Goule-Toppin (1:57.53) and moved to #11 on the US all-time list. She also became the only collegian ever to go sub-1:58 in the 800m and sub-4:04 in the 1500m.
