Mantz ran 29:08 to get a come-from-behind victory over Kenya's Alex Masai by 3 seconds. Kenya won the international team race ahead of Team USA.

She was just the third American to win the women's pro race, but she was not part of the winning team which was Team USA-Colorado, lead by former Colorado runner Carrie Verdon in third.
