World Athletics catches up with Jakob Ingebrigtsen: "I am not happy with my indoor season. Not at all." When your goal is to be the "best runner that ever existed", an undefeated indoor season sometimes isn't enough. Ingebrigtsen reveals he was in monster shape prior to getting sick and talks about he reflects back on his first year of being self-coaches and how he and his brothers tweak each other's training.

- John Kelly, Damian Hall and Karel Sabbe begin Loop 4 at Barkley Marathons They did the 1st 3 in 32:03:59 (the cutoff to attempt loop four is 36 hours.) and now have 28 hours to get through the remaining two loops. If they do it, they will be the first finishers since 2017.

In her new book, Goucher says that she was assaulted by Salazar multiple times during sports massages which was part of what got Salazar a lifetime ban from SafeSport. She is coach by Ryan Hall and has a mile PB of 4:42 and 5k/10k PBs of 15:31 and 32:03.
- French Runner Jimmy Gressier Celebrates Victory At French XC Champs With A Crepe He was handed the crepe by a spectator and started eating it before passing the finish line. He also offered a bite to the second and third place finishers.
- MB: Barkley Marathon starts Tues 3/14 The 100 mile ultramarathon hasn't had a finisher since 2017.

- Mo Farah Loses 100m Sprint Race To A Dad Wearing Jeans It was a 100m dad's race at one of his kids' schools and Farah actually finished 3rd. Farah's wife Tania says that the dad who won is very proud and that they "aren't hearing the end of it."
- Guy Who Finished Second To Last In Tyreek Hill's 60m Race At USATF Masters Champs Apparently Being Mocked Online Curtis Bell (who finished more than a second behind Hill) says he hasn't ran a sprint race since high school. Bell said, “I was a pole vaulter in college, but I’ve never been fast. I’ve never claimed to be fast. I signed up for this race for fun. I didn’t know that there was going to be a professional athlete in the race."
- Italy's European 60m Champ Samuele Ceccarelli Is A Law Student And Says He Doesn't Plan On Stopping His Studies Despite His Breakthrough Season He said, "It gives me a view of everything that happens in real life and I think that both athletics and law are very important to form my psychological profile."

- Jackson Heidesch And Sadie Engelhardt Use Late Race Heroics To Claim Mile Titles At New Balance Nationals Indoor Heidesch ran 4:02.25 to beat out Devan Kipyego (4:02.30) with a dive across the finish line; Aaron Sahlman was 3rd (4:05.70). Engelhardt won her race in 4:38.65 just ahead of Tatum David (4:38.80) with Ellie Shea falling short of the triple crown in 3rd (4:40.76).
*MB: Ellie Shea: 3 Days, 3 Races, 2 Championships - Teammates Issam Asinga And Adaejah Hodge Smash 200m High School Records At New Balance Nationals Indoor Asinga ran 20.48 to crush the 20.62 set by Jaylen Slade in 2021 while Hodge ran 22.33 which broke her own record from Saturday, but also moved her to #3 on the world all-time list.
- Irene Riggs Runs 4:38.23 To Win Mile Over Karrilynn Baloga (4:39.96) And Sophia Gorriaran (4:41.94) Knox Young won the boys mile in 4:11.49 and Mia Brahe-Pedersen took the 60m/200m double (7.37 and 23.35).
- Cuthbertson HS (NC) Wins New Balance 4x800 In 8:48.02 National Record Runner-up Union Catholic (NJ) also were under the previous record with 8:48.86. The same four Cuthbertson girls also won the DMR on Friday and were 2nd in the 4xmile on Saturday.
- 8th Grader Sophia Rodriguez Breaks Age-14 Two Mile Record With 10:20.68 At Nike Indoor Nats She finished 2nd behind winner Brooke Wilson (10:15.95).

- Ruth Chepngetich Repeats As Nagoya Women's Marathon Champion In 2:18:08 The 2019 world marathon champion dominated the race, coming in well ahead of Japan's Ayuko Suzuki (2:21:52) and took home the $250,000 first place prize.
- World XC Silver Medallist Berihu Aregawi Runs #2 All-Time Road 10k With 26:33 In Laredo, Spain He said he had "mixed feelings" after the race since his goal was to break the world record. World U20 3000m silver medalist Zenah Jemutai Yego won the women's race in 31:03.
- Ethiopians Nibret Melak (59:06) And Almaz Ayana (65:30) Win Lisbon Half-Marathon The leaders went through 5k in 13:32 (faster than Jacob Kiplimo did when he set his 57:31 WR), but couldn't hold the pace and Melak ended up beating out Olympic and world 5000m medalist Hagos Gebrhiwet by one second.
Sydney Track Classic
- Jessica Hull (3000m) And Zoe Hobbs (100m) Set Oceania Records AT Sydney Track Classic Hull ran 8:31.81 to take the Australian national title while Hobbs ran 10.97. Fred Kerley won the 400m in 44.65.
- MB: Cameron Myers 7:52, Centrowitz 7:53! in Aussie 3km Champs They finished 5th and 8th respectively in the race won by Jude Thomas in 7:48.25.
New Balance/Nike High School Indoor Championships
- Tyrone Gorze Sets High School 5000m Record With 13:56.82 At New Balance Nationals Indoor He broke Edward Cheserek's 13:57.04 record from 13:57.04 in what was a super deep race with Daniel Simmons (13:59.96), Lex Young (14:00.64) and Patrick Koon (14:11.92) putting themselves #3, #4 and #6 on the all-time list. In the girls' race, Ellie Shea won in 15:46.28, #2 on the all-time list behind Katelyn Tuohy's 15:37.12. 800m national titles went to Tinoda Matsatsa (1:48.27 - #3 all-time) and Ali Ince (2:04.77 - #9 all-time).

- Issam Asinga Runs 6.57/20.64 Double In 60m/200m Prelims At New Balance Nationals His 60m time tied the national record and he equaled #3 all-time in the 200m. On the girls' side, Adaejah Hodge ran 22.77 to break the 22.89 200m national record set by Mia Brahe-Pederson last month.
