The world indoor champ took the lead before the bell and was able to hold off a challenge world 1500m champion Wightman in the final 100m to win 1:44.85 to 1:44.91. Italy's Yemaneberhan Crippa won the 10,000m in 27:46.13 beating out Norway's Zerei Kbrom Mezngi (27:46.94) and France's Yann Schrub (27:47.13)

After back-to-back championship silvers at Worlds and Commonwealths, Hodgkinson finally got gold in 1:59.04 ahead of France's Renelle Lamote (1:59.49). Albania's Luiza Gega won steeple gold in 9:11.31.

    NACAC Championships Day 2

    DyeStat: Shaunae Miller-Uibo And Shericka Jackson Shine At NACAC Champs With Ajee Wilson Among The Americans Taking 11 More Gold Medals

    Jackson took the 100m in 10.83 as Miller-Uibo won the 400m in 49.40. In the 800m, Wilson won an extremely close battle with Allie Wilson, beating her out by just .01 in 1:58.47. Woody Kincaid closed in 53.2 seconds to win an extremely tactical 5000m in 14:48.58. Jonah Koech won the men's 800 in 1:45.87. Stephanie Bruce won gold in the 10,000m in 33:12.

    Muir closed in 60.4 to win the title in 4:01.08 ahead of Ireland's Ciara Mageean (4:02.56). In the men's 800m semis, Jake Wightman advanced to the final by going from fifth to second in the homestretch. Finland's Topi Raitanen won the men's steeple in 8:21.80.

    NACAC Day 1

    Sean McGorty won the 10,000m in 29:23.77 ahead of Dillon Maggard (29:33.57). Natosha Rogers ran 15:11 to lead a US sweep of the medals in the women's 5000m. The US also went 1-2-3 in the women's steeple as Gabrielle Jennings won in 9:34.

    2023 Standards

    The standards are significantly tougher in most distance events. Plus you can now use mile times (track or road) to qualify in the 1500m.
