World Indoors Start Friday
World Indoors has plenty of star power (Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Grant Holloway, Mondo Duplantis, Keely Hodgkinson) and a number of big-time showdowns. We break it all down for you.

The On Athletics Club team is looking to break the world best which is currently 15:49.08, held by an Irish team from 1985 (Eamonn Coghlan, Marcus O'Sullivan, Frank O'Mara and Ray Flynn).

Emmanuel Bor Update
Emmanuel Bor, 33, was getting ready for his track Worlds, but has been pulled from Team USA. “We greatly respect the talent and dedication of all our Soldier athletes. Sgt. Bor’s safety is our number one priority," said the WCAP.
2022 NCAA Indoors
It was a good day for front-runners and favorites in the mid-d and distance events as Mario Garcia Romo of Ole Miss, Brandon Miller of Texas A&M, and Abdihamid Nur won NCAA titles by controlling things from the front.

Yaseen Abdalla anchored the Longhorns to the win; Notre Dame was 2nd as Yared Nuguse proved mortal.
Katelyn Tuohy and Mercy Chelangat made it interesting in the 5k but Wayment was too good. All four of Arkansas’ DMR legs just missed qualifying individually but came together to win as a team.

NEW BALANCE HIGH SCHOOL INDOOR NATIONALS
Ann Arbor Pioneer ran 8:51.93 to break the previous record of 8:53.67 which had stood for 20-years. On the other end of the spectrum, the Flower Mound girls (lead by Natalie Cook's 4:43 anchor leg) ran 19:37.78 to break the one-day-old national record of 19:49.10 set by Saratoga Springs at Nike Indoor Nationals.
(link updated) They beat the previous record by 32-seconds and actually put themselves #8 on the US all-time list.

- MileSplit Day 2 Event-By-Event Recap This year's rising mid-d star Will Sumner stepped down to the 400m to win in a PB of 46.63. (Sumner also made the 200m final with a 21.74 run in the prelims, but was a DNS in the final.) Saratoga followed up on their 4xmile record with a 11:44.34 win in the DMR. Cow Harbor (NY) won the boys race in 10:30.23.
