Jakob Ingebrigtsen executed the plan perfectly to break the world record and be the first man under 3:31.00 indoors. *WA Recap
Jakob Ingebrigtsen got his WR but Gudaf Tsegay was denied hers after an early fall. There were world leaders for Natoya Goule (1:58.46) in the 800, Grant Holloway (7.35) in the 60 hurdles, and Dawit Seyaum (8:23.24) in the 3k.

- IOC Dismiss Sha'Carri Richardson's Racial Bias Accusations Over Russian Figure Skater Case An IOC spokesperson explained why Richardson's case isn't at all like the one with Kamila Valieva. Richardson also alleged that no black athlete had been allowed to compete while a case was ongoing, but there are multiple examples that proves that isn't true, including one with US hurdler Brianna McNeal.
- IOC Will Not Hold Medal Ceremony For Team Figure Skating Event Because Of Kamila Valieva Controversy Valieva helped Russia (or the "Russian Olympic Committee") win gold. There will also be no medal ceremony if Valieva finishes in the top-3 in the individual event.

They crushed the previous North American record of 14:47.62 set by Shalane Flanagan with amazing closing splits. A week ago, GDS ran 8:33.92 to take 12+ seconds off the Canadian indoor 3,000-meter record. Tonight, she ran her final 3k in 8:30.83 -- almost as fast as the open personal bests of Jenny Simpson (8:29.58) and Shannon Rowbury (8:29.93), with a final 1600 of 4:25.72 and last lap of 30.81.
They remained the #3 and #4 fastest American milers of all-time as Teare edged Hocker for the win for the second straight year.

- Lilac Grand Prix Results: Josh Kerr Over Craig Engels, Donavan Brazier Fast 600, UAC Gets DMR WR Kerr edged Engels in the 800 (1:46.64 to 1:46.77), Brazier won the 600 in 73.97 (just off his world best of 73.77). The UAC squad of Ella Donaghu, Raevyn Rogers, Sinclaire Johnson, and Shannon Osika won the DMR in 10:39.91, under the world best of 10:40.31.
