Incredible speed across many distances. Reminds me a little of Webb, though obviously not where Webb was at this point in his career.
Couldn’t have someone hold a camera? Maybe the same person timing?!
Looks about 25 to me.

Leo has the classical miler's build. Could be a great one.
The best way to run an 800m is solo. No one in your way.
Shouldn't be allowed my dad said so wrote:

No one to distract you from the pain. Good luck ever running a PR by yourself. If you do you are a really sh#tty competitor, i.e. workout hero.
Color me impressed.
That's nasty. Oh how I'd love to go sub 1:50 in my lifetime.

You are a really sh!tty poster, i.e. keyboard hero.

Neither of you is right. For instance, someone who might struggle with severe anxiety in a competitive setting may be able to perform better without the stresses of actually racing. But it is also true that the appropriate amount of competition is a key ingredient in the recipe for high-level performances.

Did you have seven guys fighting you to post that?

Hence, "workout hero" i.e. "headcase".
This is insane. He ran 8:51 at Arcadia last year, so this would put him in the sub 1:50 / sub 9:00 club along with Worley, Webb, Hunter, Engels, Chez, Arroyo, and O'Toole. Shame he didn't get to do it in an official race.

I saw this guy run at the Desert Twilight CC invitational last fall when he ran down Cole Sprout in the final stretches. He is a fierce competitor. That race was incredible.
Great effort! This crop of talent seems to be full of great prospects and I think Leo's lack of competition at nationals in xc and this track season could make him really fresh for his first collegiate season. Will be interesting to see where he stacks against Nico Young and Cole Sprout next year, both in xc and on the track.

How many guys ran sub-1:50 and did not break 9?

Most of them.
In 2019 - 2
In 2018 - 6 (including some that did it in 2017 also)
In 2017 - 7
So in three years, 12 guys broke 1:50 and did not break 9:00. One guy did both. One more (Hoey) could have done it, but I did not see a 3200 result for him.

Based on Leo’s XC season he would’ve 100% went around 8:40 or maybe under this season, he’s got great speed and has enough strength to beat Cole sprout in a 5k and hang with Nico
