Great run, just off Chris Derricks U20 record and almost 3 seconds clear of Drew Hunter’s high school record.
Discuss. Is LV record in jeopardy come spring track season?

Dead last but high school record. Wow
Hopefully he isn’t peaking for the season. Already in great shape, just painful to watch his form

A certain kid named Drew Hunter, who happened to have gone to Loudoun Valley (LV) HS, holds the INDOOR record in the mile but not the outdoor record.
So what the **** do you mean?
Man, John Kellogg is good. I sent him a link to Young's workout and asked him what he thought about it. While he likes workouts to go from slower to faster normally, he liked the workout and thought it was 100% appropiate for someone to be doing who was going for a fast 3k at Millrose.
Someone doing that workout should be able to run 754-56. And there you have it.

Almost beat Hassan Mead the UMN grad
Any thoughts from Kellogg on Nico's form? If his upper body was quieter, 7:54 perhaps?
Pretty sure he meant Lukas Verzbicas who holds the 2 mi record outdoors.
I mean Hunter got Lyme disease at the end of the season, he could have definitely gotten LV's record.

Hunter's indoor 3k record. You live under a rock?

You need to re-read his post. Crazy, dumb and angry is no way to go through life.
I can see him running 8:25 come outdoor season if he remains healthy and consistent.
I look forward to the posters who think they know everything to start commenting on how he has a terrible coach and they would have Nico do nothing but easy runs.

He essential ran 7:57.

Closer to 2 seconds , than 3.
Very impressive run by Nico
He finished just 2.84 seconds behind Hassan Mead--an Olympian...and Nico is just a highschooler.
Crazy stuff man...crazy stuff

If I am not wrong, Daniel88 intended on LV standing for Lukas Verzbicas--not Loudon Valley.
I'm assuming the U20 is for 200m tracks, didn't fernendez run 7:47 when he was 18 at the Dempsey?
Correct. Oversized tracks are not eligible for the record.
