what has been your experience? treated differently when the girl saw what car you got around in?

I am not sure about getting girls, but I once drove a Mercedes Maybach across a few states for a friend of my father's. I was heading there to meet my family and he asked if I would drive his car there for him so he didn't have to fly and get it. Obviously I agreed. I got stares the entire time, and when I stopped for gas it was embarrassing how many people walked up to talk to me. Seemed like mostly car guys though.
Anyway, a truck kicked up a rock and cracked the windshield when I was within 5 miles from his house, so it kind of ruined the whole experience.
Having a beater can repel the girls.
Girls like guys that can give them the lifestyle they want. And if the girl can provide for her own lifestyle, she doesn't want to have to pay for a guy to bring her up to her level.
So if you have a nice car the girl assumes you have some sort of money.
My Ferrari requires a fresh towel on the passenger seat daily because the seat always gets wet.

Just like having a dirty disorganized apartment.
Not having a car at all is an even larger barrier.
When I had a corvette, it made girls flock to me all the time, even the same girls that rejected me in the past wanted to hook up.
If you drive like a old rusty yr 99 honda vs another person who drives a suped up mustang...its obvious who's got an advantage..its part of the game..get pimped or get pimped out.

and immediately hatches a plan to take it all.
Hide your money and filter out the gold diggers.
A nice car will attract some girls. The question is whether that is the kind of girl you want to attract.

Which one of those is the good one and which one id the bad one? Or are they both bad?
Sometimes it repels them. I know a girl with a big booty, solid abs and a strength up 9/10 face who is a total environmentalist and won’t even date a guy if he drives.
Having a clean car that is well taken care of is a plus. I think you hit diminishing marginal returns beyond that.
I don't think the majority of the population really knows or cares enough about cars to even recognize a "good car." If you pull up in a BMW, maybe 5% of people will know whether the thing is an entry level model or a high performance model. Beyond a certain threshold, you're really only getting a better car for personal gratification and enjoyment and/or to impress the incredibly small number of "car guys" why actually care.
The kind of car makes a huge difference in how many people treat you. I know because I experienced it. I had all kinds of people, women and men alike, want to befriend me when I drove a Jaguar (little did they know the one I had was several years old and was about the cost of a regular car the same age). I remember I was parked near an exclusive university and these students came by and were like "Hi, how are you, blah, blah, blah".
When I drove an old, faded light blue beater car for an acquaintance just for an afternoon I was definitely looked down upon. One woman said she would never be driven in a car like that. On the other hand you probably don't want to be in a relationship her. Sadly there are lots of gold diggers out there. Beware.

what's up roy good post
Yep a good car makes it easier. For example my college roommate had a 68 convertible Firebird and I had a Chevy Cavalier station wagon. Take a guess which one attracted more girls.

I'm finding your story a bit, no offense intended, contrived . There would be few people who could differentiate a Maybach from a 550s Merc.
FWIW, I did have a friend deliver to me a couple cases of wine from his McLaren. That did cause a motorist to pull over to check it out.
