Was interesting to see Alex Monroe get outkicked by Kosgei on National Television.
When I'm racing a local Turkey Trot, I don't mind getting chicked because I find fast women attractive.
Not sure how sub-elites feel.

Probably not too bad, considering she's likely on the sauce and likely to be popped as a doper at some point
Sad Boiz go home devastated and self-harm
I'd call it getting "PED'd" if anything.
How do 'elite' women running 2:29 feel getting beat by 15 minutes? Even our top American was over 10 minutes back.

Exactly.
The hard part is watching someone like Molly Huddle answer questions about these women running 5:10 pace and the PC and smart thing for them to respond is essentially, "wooooowww, yeahhhh, so fast.."

Some of them are in awe. Some of them are bitter and think they would run much faster with drugs.
Kosgei?
Emma Bates got about 5 minutes of screen time, but she must have dropped at least 10 guys in that time coming up Michigan avenue.
She was in beast mode with a smile on her face going by guys like they were standing still.

Please explain to us why a Federico Rosa trained runner is considered clean while anyone associated with Alberto Salazar is dirty? I want to believe that she ran ran this clean but Camp Rosa has left a trail of dope cheats in its wake.
I'm gonna train my brains out and beat her next year
sad thing is that if Kosgei wanted to run in the male category she'd be an outside shot to make our men's olympic marathon team.
In many european countries she'd be an outside favorite to make their men's teams.

actually never mind - I just saw that the 2020 OG men's standard was dropped to 2:11 from 2:19.
But point stands - she'd be among the top marathoners of any gender in many countries.
Wouldn't you expect the guy who finished 5 minutes back to feel better than the guy who finished 30 minutes back.

It's time to ban separate women's races and have them all compete with the men. Would fix both the chicking and who am I today genders

Someone with enough ~2:13 finishes would qualify for the games by IAAF rank

They feel comfortable enough in their own skin to not use an outdated phrase. Women are getting better at distance running. Great, more training partners. It's fun to watch people run fast. Get over you insecure feelings.
If you cannot accept being chicked you stop and collapse with a pretend physical injury just as Rupp did. His injury was entirely mental.
