Hello.
My Garmin Forerunner 410 wrist band broke after years of use. I searched on ebay but did not find any compatible ones. Neither for the 405 which must be similar.
Can anyone direct me to a compatible one?
Thanks

Click "find a dealer."
Thanks but i'm looking for a cheaper alternative. Not the original one. Sorry if it wasn't clear.
Have a look on Amazon, I bought one there.
Try Amazon, Ebay or AliExpress.
It does not seem to be available anywhere.
If you have any other ideas, please let me know. I wanna avoid buying a new one.
Hi, did you find one? I have the same issue today...
I'm all for getting lots of use out of the stuff I buy, but this is like asking if anyone can get you a new cradle to sync your Palm III to your Pentium 90 desktop.
Even if you don't think you need all the features that new watches have (nobody does), it's worth upgrading from the 410 just so you get automatic uploads. The rest of the world doesn't have to manually connect to their computer to get their runs saved; it just happens in the background whenever they're near their phones or a known wifi network. If you run a few times a week, that's a lot of time you'll save. Add to that you'll get real waterproofing, vastly superior battery life, a much smaller form factor, real buttons instead of the stupid touch bezel, and a pretty accurate heart rate monitor built-in. That's just for the absolute cheapest models on the market.
I had the same problem a couple years ago and ended up purchasing a replacement strap which cost nearly $40 incl. shipping. It also has now broken.
The problem is the weird design of these watches requires a very specialized watch band. The materials used in these bands seem inferior.
It may be a case of planned obsolescence by design by Garmin. Enough for me to never purchase any Garmin product again.
Nothing wrong with my watch itself. While purchasing a new model may be easy, I generally try to avoid unnecessary consumption.
I have been able to extend the life of my bands using Shoe Goo and pieces of bicycle inner tube.
I tried to repair a broken silicone strap using Shoe Goo and a plastic patch - it didn't work. Professional advice online states that a CYANOACRYLATE glue is needed to bond silicone (some superglues are that type). I used "GP Superglue 50g" (from Toolstation, £3.88 - June 2024). I pierced the nozzle with a pin to release an incredibly small amount of the glue to form a thin layer on one side of the break and pressed the other part of the strap firmly against the glue for 30 seconds. I was amazed that it bonded very quickly and is strong. I will use this type of glue to repair any further breaks. It also handles other types of plastic. RECOMMENDED REPAIR METHOD
