I always thought of a polo shirt as basically one small step above a T shirt on the casual-formal continuum. It’s a great thing to throw on with shorts or jeans for lounging around the house, going to class, running errands, etc, but not something I’d wear to work or even to a semi-nice restaurant.
I just started a new job, though, and people here wear polos with chinos or khakis as their “business casual” attire. To each his own. I’m not complaining or criticizing. Just curious what others think.
Am I out of date with the current fashion trends, or is my new office just weird?
