Yes, it's true.

We are reaching out to update you regarding some recent changes to our discount code program. In July of this year, we will be updating all team discount code percentages to be 10%. The current 15% discount will be available on applicable items for all incoming orders until July 22nd. Please contact your members to inform them of this change. We value our relationship with your organization and appreciate your patience through this transition.
Also, their 2-day shipping always takes 4-5 days
More and more there is becoming less reason to shop at RW. They never had the best prices, they just had their promo codes. Their selection is even getting worse. There's no customer service, probably 90% of their business is online orders, so you never interact with anyone. All they have left is their free shipping and their return policy, but if they continue the way they've been headed the last couple years, I expect them to rescind those as well.

Yes, totally agree. You wouldn’t happen to have a RW discount code I could use would you?

Its been about a year since I've needed to call them, but RW had the best customer service when I did. They worked through my issues quickly and there was no being on hold.
If there is a better option than running warehouse, I'd like to know what it is. For me the combination of new products available before other sites, 10% discount (randomly items are excluded from it), and prices on their clearance items seem to still make it the best option. I'm going to have to look at other options though if I can only get 10% off clearance shoes instead of 15.

Used to take 2 days and now, ya, it takes 3-5 usually.
Running warehouse was amazing about 5 years ago. They used to have a promo around Thanksgiving where you could by $200 worth of gift cards and get a $50 gift card for free. But now they are on par with Jack rabbit and road runner sports. I have actually started using rrs a lot more and it is about the same experience but sometimes they have less selection.

Should be more explanatory in the announcement. e.g.; We are forced to reduce discounts due to recent increase in costs, etc. (da, da, da, even make something up.)
They opened a new location in the Atlanta area last year. Perhaps this has affected their costs along with taxes and possible tarrifs ? Never thought they would eliminate discounts to their Facebook followers on clearance items. (FB15D)
Like many of you, I bought extra shoes I did not really need.

Yup, that code had me. I used to buy so many shoes from them that I didn't need. Just wanted to keep trying new things, and that discount lured me in. Now? I probably haven't shopped with them since the last time that code was active. I know I can still get 10% off, but it's weird how much that extra 5% pushed me over the fence. I don't even think of RW anymore.
Oh also the collabs with Jamison Michael are just cringe.

Thanks for posting this. Just gave them a piece of my bank account. Sucks this good thing has come to an end.
They tried to establish a monopoly by undercutting competition like amazon. However, their marketing sucked and they were only partially successful. They did very little to get their name out there, other than giving discounts arbitrarily to running clubs. Sponsored 0 races, almost no hype for new products. 0 sponsored runners. They got good search engine traction, but it wasn't enough. They've always felt like corporation and not part of the running community.
I like Running Warehouse. It's my first stop when shopping for new shoes. I tend to shop one year behind the current models so I can get the closeout prices when the new models come out. I also like that I can find dozens of reviews to help determine whether I will like the shoe, whereas with a new shoe, the reviews are limited.
Yup, I can just drop a "price drop alert" on any and every shoe that interests me and I can be near the front of the line when they run a sale or put them on clearance. Same deal at Holabird and Jackrabbit, there's even a brick and mortar of the latter in town so I can pick up a pair of anything they discount locally. Amazon is still too random with sizing availability and pricing. And all the other LRSes seem to run out of my size fast during a sale or clearance, I don't have time to stop in to check weekly or even monthly.

RW have sponsored the Blue mile, SLO marathon, City to Sea half, HOKA/SBCC elite mile, SBCC elite last chance 1500/5k. They do their bit.
