I think an argument could be made for Fermín Cacho, simply for the fact he's the fastest non-African at the 1500 (3:28.95). I don't think a non-African will ever beat that time and it will probably stand forever. Cacho is also an Olympic gold medalist, which is tough to do with the historical depth at that discipline in the 90s & 00s.
Cacho be da man! ?
So I'm the evil racist for trying to counter the myth that East (and North) Africans are somehow on a different genetic plane to the rest of humanity. Threads like this, and posts like this, should be banned for explicit racism. I wonder how many young non-African middle-distance athletes have come to these boards and just had the motivation and belief crushed out of them by the racist weirdos here. And you'll stick to your faith (and threaten people like me who point you out) no matter how many East African cheats continue to get busted.
Oh, and btw, Jakob could very well break Cacho's record this year or next, although more importantly, he could and likely will break the clean WR of Nick Willis this year.
