im a sophomore in high school but i'm planning to get a full ride to college by running track and -cc-. i was wondering what kind of times i would have to produce to even be considered. as a freshman i ran a 1:58 800, 4:28 mile, 52 400, and a 16:55 3 mile. my gpa is also pretty good. thankz......

Well,
It all depends on what kind of school you want to attend. Division I school rarely give out full rides to track/xc athletes. Your times will have to very fast (sub 1:53, 4:05, 9:00), and even then they might just give you partial due to the limited number of scholarships they have available.
Off course once you look at outside the DI school you can get plenty of money by running 1:55, sub 4:20 etc.

I undertstand your concern, but running to earn a scholarship will NOT help you run your best. Just run your best, and everything else will play out one way or another.

I ran 1:58 and 4:29 mile as a freshman (pretty much the same) as well as 9:42.
By my sr. year, I ran 1:53, 4:10 and 9:04. I was offered quite a few full rides.
I would say 1:51, sub 4:10 and around 9:08 or better will get you full rides to big D1 schools. If you want a full ride at a school like Stanford or Arkansas, run even faster.
