I had posterior tibial tendon surgery 4.5 weeks ago. I'm looking for a summer job and need to know what my foot will allow me to do. Here is my breakdown, and what the doctor plans on:
@ surgery- put into splint, non-WB
@ 2 weeks- stitches taken out, put into hard cast, non-WB
@ 4.5 weeks- where I'm at now, still non-WB
Doctor projections:
@ 6 weeks- hard cast taken off, into walking boot
@ 7 or 8 weeks- start physical therapy
@10 - 12 weeks- complete with everything
With that being said, once I'm into the walking boot, will I have restrictions as to what I can do while in it? Amount of walking? Standing? Bending over? (My job would hypothetically start at 7.5 weeks, if that helps)
