I wear a 10.5 in both Nike and Brooks.
So should I get the same size as my Nike shoe? I’m getting the brooks elmn8v4 for track (my Nike victories and Nike Zoom 400s are 9.5)
No, you should go and support your local running store and try them on instead of trying to save $30.

If you are a size 9.5 in Nike then you are a size 9.5 in Nike and not buying brooks.

You sound like one of those self righteous fukkers that’s always whining about supporting stores that charge twice as much. Lower your damn prices and we will go to those rip off local specialty stores. Until then I will go to your snobby running store and try on every pair, then go buy them on Amazon. And I’ll use their restroom too.
No need to support them. I could care less about their fake customer service act. It’s just about the best price for those of us that don’t make $300,000/yr. Dikk hedd.
I am also a 9.5 in Nike and most brands, but a 9 in adidas. I wear 9.5 in brooks, they seem to have a standard fit to most other shoes. Adidas have run big to me

I like to think that I would have found a more polite way to say this, but I agree with the sentiment it expresses. and I would also have pointed out that not everyone is blessed with a "local running store."
I live in a city of 70,000 people and there is one "local running store," in the city, and not one in the surrounding 30 miles or so, so folks who live in the outlying towns and villages have to put up with the pimple-faced schoolboys in Sports Direct selling last years tennis shoes at discount prices, or they have the school sports shop selling gym shoes for schoolgirls, or they have to travel into the city to get gait analysis and proper running shoes. it's a good shop and they know their stuff and they support local running clubs and offer prizes at races but there is only one of them covering a very wide area. I hate loathe and detest every single thing that Amazon stands for and represents but I totally get why folks shop there.
cheers.
Local running stores don't stock sh*t for dick. And that includes Dicks. Not a viable option anymore, you dinosaur. Surprised grandpa even figured out how the computer worked to post his wisenheimer comment.
Was in the dark regarding my next pair.
Went to the local shop.
Tried the shoe they proposed, which I didn't know about, really running in the street.
Was happy.
Bought at standard manufactured price.
No issue, no question, no worries, noo injuries, lots of PB.
You can stress, guess and return dozens of pairs.
I'm not buying from shops who allow returns because I don't buy second hand shoes at new price.
Be happy.
