We here at LetsRun.com often say the DMR isn't our favorite relay (we'd much rather see a 4 x 800 at indoor NCAAs) because it almost always comes down to the anchor. Well the Penn women showed why we say "almost always" as led by NCAA 800 indoor runnerup Nia Akins on the 1200, they put more than 10 seconds on the eventual 2nd and third placers today at Penn on the first two legs. In the end, they ended up winning the DMR, becoming the first Ivy League women's team to win a distance relay at Penn.
