As a long-time Boston Marathon streaker, I received a "special exclusive invite" to join the Boston Marathon Unicorn Club.
Sounded like it was a novel way for the BAA to reward and recognize those runners who have run invested both time and (significant) money over the last 10+ years in running the race.
The club benefits were not terribly innovative, but they were nice minor "gifts" for the streakers:
* Special bib pick-up location at the Boston Marathon Expo
* Concierge service at Packet Pick-up
* Exclusive motor coach bus transportation out to Hopkinton
* Indoor staging area near the Athletes’ Village
* Light refreshments, foam rollers, and stretching mats on race morning.
* Post Race personalized gift
* And more!

I clicked the link to join, and learned that the BAA is charging $250!!!! Keep in mind, as a member of this exclusive group (10+ consecutive Bostons), I have paid over $1500 in just entry fees (I'm someone with significantly more than 10 years.
These not-mind-blowing "benefits" are things that the BAA should GIVE AWAY to their most loyal runners, but this turns out to be an unfortunate, and not-well-though-through idea by the BAA to extract a not-insignificant amount of $$ from its most loyal runners. Really unfortunate.
LATEST UPDATE: After they've seemingly been unable to attract many suckers to bite on this offer, the bar for this exclusive club has been lowered to 5yr streakers.
Perhaps the "And More!" changes this game...unfortunately, I (and probably all of the streakers) will never know
