They said on the broadcast she goes by KoKo?
Or was it KoKlo? That would make more sense given her last name but I swear they said CoCo? But do you spell it with a K?

Everyone was saying KoKo, not KoKlo, and since both of her names begin with K and not C, it would be KoKo, not CoCo. An awful lot of names and words in German begin with K.

TV closed captioning system rendered it as Coco . My logic would think spelling KoKlo and pronouncing it like coke low
Wait .... Isn't that what you call the creature that lives under your house?
Hey What wrote:An awful lot of names and words in German begin with K.
In German, the hard c sound is normally written k. C is mostly used in combinations (ch, sch, ck = kk) or in loan words.

KoKlo would make more sense, but there’s a good reason that she doesn’t go by that. “Klo” means “toilet” in German. Google translate it.

Posters have been calling her KK or "Koko" on these boards for years. Ditto the German press.
It’s spelled:
EatingDisorder

I think we ought to stick with KK on these boards.

According to Wikipedia her height and weight is 5'9 and a 106 ibs. Or, a BMI of 15.7. A BMI under 16.5 is a sign of aneroxia.

She does not have a BMI of 15.7 speaking as a doctor. I have seen women with bmi's of 14 and 15 and she looks nothing like them. At a BMI of 15.7, cheek bones protrude very visibly on a woman's face, joints protrude to look like angles sticking out all over their bodies and they look worn out. You know someone is 14 or 15 when their face is skeletal.
I would say at a guess, she is low 17 as she has puffy cheeks and her body bone structure doesn't stick out like a woman with a BMI of 15. She has got muscalar structure which means her muscles have not atrophied like a Woman with a BMI of 15. A woman with a BMI of 15 would not be able to do any high intensity training.
A BMI of 17 is not uncommon in endurance runners, is it healthy is another debate which I would eer on the side of no. Her height makes her look more underweight than what she is.

Just a shortening of Konstance to KoKo,-- the Klosterhalfer part is not in play-
(Constance+CoCo) or so says tha smart woman who once acted in an Holiday Inn ad

Please stop with this.
She's had that build since she was a young teenager. She's progressed gradually and improved every year. She runs consistently year round over a large range of distances. She's never had a bone injury. Her weight doesn't fluctuate.
In other words, she has no signs of having an eating disorder.
Meanwhile, how's the longevity of all the young American prodigies her age?
koko is correct

Her nickname in Germany is Koko. She is - for a distance runner - very popular in Germany. I think she has yesterday also broken the 34 year old 1500m NIR from Brigitte Kraus (not sure if official).

Aren't you the same guy that calls Lori Jones "Lolo" instead of "Lojo"?

Yes, for us (Germans) she is KoKo. Indeed not KoKlo as "Klo" is colloquial German for "toilet".
Nor KK with German pronunciation as this would resemble the word for "excrement" in German toddler language.
KK with "K" pronounced like the first syllable in "capable" is fine.
Interestingly, Corrina Harrer a 4:04 1500 runner who got as far as the semifinal in London 2012 but was later plagued by injuries and ended her professional career last year also went by Coco. So the spelling Koko should be kept like that, even if Harrer is hardly racing anymore.

YUP I call Lori Susan Jones "Lolo" as does most of the T&F world.
Your point?
What if she marries Sebastian? Then she'll be Koko Coe! I bet the kids will be fast and skinny!
