The extended accuweather forecast is calling for warmish conditions at Chicago yet again with an overnight low of 58 heading into race day and a Sunday high of 70.
Should Smoove pull the plug on his attempt at sub-2:30 masters glory? Discus.

Being at least 6 weeks out, considering how quickly Chicago weather can change, is about as lame as the thread a few weeks ago about Tokyo’s weather in 2020.

Uh oh. angryjohnny started a thread about the weather. Kiss of death. Repeat of Boston, but the opposite. It's gonna be a scorcher, 90F!

What have you been training in? Shouldn't be a problem if you live anywhere on the East Coast or the South and trained this summer
I’m in the Deep South and yes after this summer 58 actually sounds nice. 48 would be great. 38 would be PR great.
there's no way on earth smoove runs sub 2:30 with perfect conditions. 2:35 at best, which don't get me wrong is still a great time for a old guy banged up from winning the workout king crown on a weekly basis and who trains religiously with the daniel's guide for hobbyjoggers.

Good luck with temps in the 30s. Has happened once in the last 10+ years.

Smoove will not break 2:30, no way. Afterwards he will complain about his cramping and how he was previously injured...dude needs to throw in the towel. If he couldn't break 2:30 3 year ago, he won't now...3 years is a long time at his age

I'll be in town watching the marathon. It's my understanding that the weather will range from 20 to 100, and even that can't be guaranteed.
Seriously...who's bright idea was it to try and predict the weather over a month away
Global warming means you are all doomed in your sad little marathon attempts.
Don't much care what the temperature is as long as this humidity goes away. Preferably 1-2 weeks before race time.
The latest guess from accuweather: 53/68. Mostly sunny.
I’d take it. 35 days until go time.

Need things to cool off in Chicago. It's been a brutal summer. Have had very few days where it's even been in the 60s. Need to start to see some more 60 degree days in September. Low-50s sounds fine, cooler would be better.
Smoove already complaining about cramping...I'll say he wont break 2:35
