Paula Radcliffe's WR could go down this weekend, what questions would you like us to ask her this weekend?

“If the world record falls this weekend, will you be happy to pass the torch on to the next generation, or sad to see that you lost this outstanding world record?”

I wouldn't have the guts to ask her about PEDs.

Possibly ask about her thoughts of the brutal Boston conditions.

I would ask, "Did you really think it was a good idea to get paced by wejo?"

Just a couple that came to mind...

Will she find it to be more unfair if the London male pace makers don't drop off until the last 100 or so meters of the race like how they did at the RAK Half Marathon Keitany ran earlier in the year where she almost broke the half marathon world record?

How fast does she think a female is capable of running a marathon, given conditions like the sub 2 attempt for Kipchoge?

Does she think the Vaporflys should be banned/restricted if they show a correlation for marathon runners having massive improvement? Would she have wanted to be able to have that kind of shoe when she ran the WR?

How does she feel about all of the pre 2005 world records being overwritten at some point? Wasn't the IAAF doing something about that?

What age does she think girls would be optimal to start focused marathon training/build-up? Might be a bit personal to ask, but did she still have her period when she was in her 2003 WR shape?

What are her thoughts on Cross Country becoming an olympic/world championships event and apparently becoming more extreme? What would extreme cross country be in her opinion?

Does she know why she would bob her head when running? Was it something she was even aware of when she ran? Does she still do it even when she isn't running all out?

When will you be releasing your fabled blood values, you know the ones you were keeping on ice to prove at a later date that you weren't doing anything nefarious?

What exactly was the treatment you were getting from Dr Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt?

What do you think about the fact that there are two highly suspect women chasing your record? One with all her roommates busted with drug vials and the other one being on the suspicious passport list?

If Letsrun actually found the balls to grill her about the epic blood samples stance reversal, I’d die of shock. But that is absolutely the number 1 thing I’d want to hear asked of her.

"Do you feel you're taking more drugs than the previous record holder, or about the same amount?"

WR not happening this weekend, think about this the fastest time by an American so far this year (almost halfway through the marathon season is 2:15.52, so it is not happening.

Eventually it will happen, a good candidate might be Fancy Chemutai who just turned 23 and has run 1:04.52 and according to Tilastopaja she ran her first race in September 2016 so she is new to running/racing and as good as she is.

When Radcliffe does eventually lose her Record, she will be very sportsmanlike and happy for her successor, she will be all class.

What did she think of Shalane's Port-a-Potty-to-race time? Could she have beaten it in her prime?

Do you think Shalane was foolish to use the porta potty when there was a perfectly good road to urinate on?

Or better still Paula, will you release some or part of each frozen sample to Ross Tucker at The Science of Sport for them to be tested under his auspices?

What does she feel she did in her preparation or during the race that the Africans are missing? Or maybe she had superior genetics for the marathon?

She is a once in a generation freak athlete. So far she actually seems like once in a lifetime freak athlete...with all of east Africa trying to get to her level.

I haven't read an interview with her for a while, so I'm not sure how much of this stuff is known...

1. You could ask her about the use of male pacers in the marathon and world record ratification.

2. You could also ask her how much running she does these days and what pace, and if she ever does workouts (I assume it's some easy jogging and no workouts, but who knows).

3. You could ask her about her training philosophy and race prep -- what would she do in the days leading up to big races?

4. You could ask her if she thought her training methods would work for everyone, or what kinds of things ought to vary from athlete to athlete.

5. You could ask her about her early life and how she got into running. When did she realize she was good, when did she realize she could make a living at it, when did she realize she could become one of the greatest of all time? I love hearing those sorts of stories.

6. Here's what I would ask about doping:

A. Do you think doping helps athletes run faster?

B. If so, how much faster? (a range would be fine)

Then we can all speculate on how she was able to run so much faster than known dopers.

Obviously fantastic athlete and one of the greats, but she never medaled in the Olympics. Does she feel wistful about that? At other goals she had or has that she’d like to reach personally or professionally?
