15:49 at Mt. Sac, absolutely CRUSHES Sarah Baxter's course record and most male times for the day. Is she one of the best EVER to run in California?

Ummm... ever heard of Jordan Hasay?
Duh! Are you posting Jordan Hasay's name because of her recent marathon success? This is HS buddy, so appreciate Claudia while you can. Jordan's 16:27 is indeed an excellent time. The original post stated that Claudia is "is she one of the best ever to run in CA?". She was already one of the best last year. In the country. 15:49 is mind blowing!
Only cuz the Tuohy (sp?) girl is on the east coast.
Lane v. Tuohy in Balboa will be great, though not a record (no one is touching Trotter's record).

Trotter doesn't have the record at Balboa. Melody Fairchild does.
Not impressed. The record was soft.

I forgot they went to Florida a few years. Fairchild's record . 16:39 is tough at Balboa, but maybe in reach of these two, next year if not this.
I agree with you. Both have a shot at the record. Although, Tuohy seems to prefer racing at NXN.

It's a shame they didn't run the same course.

Thunderclaps heard throughout the country.
Lane's race is more impressive.
However a match up would be quite interesting.
Nice run by Lauren Peurifoy in second at 16:37.

16:42 is not 16:37

The results show that Peurfoy won the D1 division.
Then say that before the race begins dummy

Why would they say the record is soft? That makes no sense.
Simple jealousy. Claudia is totally unpretentious. Kudos to her. Great attitude towards running and success.
Great runner but likely tapped out in HS like most greats.
How much of a record was it? How was the course altered?
