Webb set his time in 2007. Willis ran 3:29.66 in 2015.
Drug testing still a joke in 2007. 3:29.66>3:46.91

"Wins" what?
Best Anglo time I'm guessing.

What are the clean records for the 1500 and mile?

My PRs. Or in your case, your PRs.
Aside from the Michigan connection, why are we even comparing them? Its not even close. Willis eats Webb's lunch.

Also same age, believe or not.
We won't even get into the wife comparison.

Alan was much better overall runner. Look at it this way, he was just has fast as Willis in the mile/1500 (just not as consistent).
Webb way better at 800 and also faster at 5k/10k

Whatever Steve Ovett's PBs are

I'm one that rates Webb's mile time as better, just ignore IAAF's tables. But Willis's two Olympic Medals makes him a far greater runner. Given the Kiprop "likely doping" revelation just adds to his status. His wife is expecting again too.
Willis got the coaching right. Alan got the max performances. Webb would have gone sub 3:30 in Paris with better pacing than just 2:49 and a push from Baala on the backstretch. Webb won that 3:30.54 battle and he also was obviously first by ten seconds in the 3:46.91. That mile went through in 2:50, so he again did not have close to the max pacing that might have led to a 3:44. Willis has had many chances at the sub 3:50 mile and I believe he's never even done that. He was behind a lot of guys in his great 3:29.66. And he's got the medals. So, Willis is a much better racer and had the consistency, whereas Webb had the greatness to be the best in the world but couldn't stay healthy or run tactically except at max in 2007.
Comparing the 1500 and mile performances of two different athletes is not always a good idea. The mile is hardly ever run on the pro circuit, let alone run fast.
A better indicator is consistency and medals, in my opinion.

I wasn't being clear - what I meant was, comparing the 1500 performance of one athlete with the mile performance of another is not always a good idea.

I mean...Webb was technically slower than Willis and has zero medals, in his primary event or others.
But yeah, Webb wouldn't been pretty great in like a running events-only pentathlon or something. 100, 400, 1500, 5k, marathon or 110HH. Maybe we should start it up!
Willis has run 3:49.8 for the mile
Willis' time is more impressive for his age, 32.
