Camille Herron has this potential IMHO.
Who do you think could decimate the age group WRs?

Galen Rupp, if the age- and gender-switching mood strikes him. SJWs, amirite?
Caster
Joan Benoit-Samuelson. She will be better.
Jill Greathouse
Definitely Joanie, if she has the desire. I don't know enough about her to know whether she has such aspirations but she certainly seems to have the durability.
Joan Benoit will go sub3 this year so that's an easy one
there is also Christine Kennedy
Silke Schmidt. She's phenomenal.
tRg...she's saving it for when she's 70+.
I hope I can do what Jan Holmquist is doing at 60 and 70 because at 50 I've beaten her 50yo PR for mile and 5K times (slightly, on track not road) but I don't care for those shorter distances at all, give me a 15K or HM instead anyday.
Um, have you heard of Jordan Hasay?
Libby James
JBS. Deena Kastor may also do interesting things as a masters runner.

Totally agree, I think she will smash all the 80 and over records in 60 years or so, 2077 will be a huge year for her smashing the age group records.
Silke Schmidt looks very talented - 1:20 half at 57 is no joke
58 vdot - if she can keep it at least 54 by age 60, she might also go sub 3 in a full like Joan Benoit
I've always wondered why someone like Joan or Deena would keep competing into older age. For some of us it is the idea that we never did enough, that we could have been contenders, and so we keep going, striving for age-group medals and a sliver of respect from our competitors. But they both have Olympic medals, FFS.
Colleen De Reuck. Two top 10 Commrades finishes, including 7th this year. I believe she is 53.

Actually this is the best answer. Wasn't she a collegiate runner with a little potential?
Definitely not Joanie or Camille. They ran/are running too much too young.
Christine Kennedy has a shot. Sub-3 at 59. Think she's 61 now
Can we talk about how crazy hard this Olympic marathon course is?
