From the sounds of some, I thought Kenya had 10,000 world class runners.
Why did their top team (-Rudisha) just get crushed by the "B-team" from USA?
Is somebody not telling the truth?

Well, it would appear Kenya does not have the best 800 meter runners any longer...Need more EPO?

I think besides berian we sent a pretty solid team. The only guys who you can maybe argue for are centro (who isn't an 800 guy) and Andrews (who came a few years ago and I don't think has opened up this year yet).

I don't know...All the talk has been about Brazier, Berian, Jock, Solomon, and even Walker. Maybe minute mention of Sowinski, but no credit at all to Kidder and Loxsom.
You are fortunate to have Murphy as your final leg. Truly, he is the future of your middle distance ranks for years to come. Reminds me of a more affable Coe.

brazier slipped my mind, but I would put loxsom and sowinski on par with Solomon/walker at this point (and ahead of jock).

The way things are looking, it will take an incredible amount of luck for any of these guys to make Kenya's WC team. Kipketer may squeak through because of his aggressive style but my money is on a couple of youngsters the world caught a glimpse of last year. Rudisha is defending champ we'll have four.
Video?

Doubtful. NBC aired it with their NBC Sports Gold which requires a $69.99 subscription.
Brazier is my man still, very humbling

Everyone has been sleeping on Kidder and since he has got to the pros he has been running great for brooks. I don't know whether he will run the 800 or 1500 at USA's but he seems to be running well for brooks and developing great closing speed. I don't know if he has the raw speed to run with a brazier or murphy in the 800 but he certainly proved his worth on this relay and could be a dark horse to make a world team.

Kenya probably sent their D team to the event.
Who really cares about the World Relay Champs?

Not exactly. Rudisha wasn't there, I'll grant you that.
But the other 2 Kenyan Olympians were - Rotich who got 5th in Rio and Kipketer who got 7th in Rio. Also on the team was Kitum, the bronze medalist in London, and Bett, the U20 World Champion in 2016 who ran 1:43.76 last year. Three 1:42 guys and a 1:43 guy.
We should have gotten our butts whooped. We were missing our 2nd-best guy Berian who got 8th in Rio. The prs of Sowinski, Loxsom, and Kidder are 1:44, 1:44, and 1:45.
When I see all these studs names floated, I really do wonder about Jock storming off from Bahamas! I place him maybe 7th best right now in US and a 2:21 for 1000m indoors isn't moving him up at all.
So the top 10 US guys in the 800 look like this for now? :
1. C. Murphy
2. B. Berian
3. D. Brazier
4. C. Loxsom
5. E. Sowinski
6. S. Walker
7. D. Solomon.
8. B. Kidder
9. C. Jock
10. I. Harris
The only important thing about this thread is where is the race replay???

Shouldn't be doubtful. Literally every other race from this meet (including the women's 4x8) is on YouTube.
i would break it down something like this (and im including some non 800m specialists in here who i think would crack the top 10). Adding in gaps where i think there is a clear delineation.
1. murphy
2. berian
3. brazier
4. andrews
5. centro
6. sowinski
7. loxsom
8. solomon
9. kidder
10. harris

That makes it even MORE doubtful...if every other race is on YouTube and this one isn't, it obviously is unlikely to be found. I hope I'm wrong though.

Perhaps they did not try that hard?
Perhaps the whole team caught a bug before the event?
Perhaps the Kenyans were considering this as more of an all expense paid vacation?
Don't get too excited lets see who wins the 800m at the Worlds in a few months
