Just about all of the top nations have announced their teams and they are coming loaded for bear. The meet is less than 2 weeks away, what is USATF waiting for?

Does anyone know why they dropped the DMR; has the IAAF ever put out a statement?
USATF just named the team, most of the expected athletes are there. Most notable athletes missing from the 800 are Donavan Brazier, Kate Grace, Brenda Matinez and Ajee Wilson. Not having Wilson and Matinez is especially tough because they are super reliable. Most notable athletes missing from the sprints are Bromell and Felix. Felix is the toughest loss because she's capable of running all of the sprint relays and like Ajee Wilson is super reliable. Obviously you would like to see all of the top athletes, but that's never going to happen and I like the fact that some new guys get a chance.
It is going to be tough and interesting for the U.S. I would not rank the U.S. number one I any of the relays. The other countries are basically bring their full national teams. I could see the U.S. men and women finishing no better than 3rd in the 4x8. On the men's side Kenya and Poland will likely go 1 and 2 and on the women side Kenya and the Ukraine will likely go 1 and 2. The Bahamas could possibly win the men and women's 4x4 and I expect Canada, GB and Jamaica to be real tough in the 4x1 and 4x2.
We should score the meet 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Kenya said they don't intend to have a repeat of last year and the Bahamas has an athlete anchoring their 4x4 who has already run 44.26.
Botswana has 2 athletes on their 4x4 who have run sub-45. The fastest 400m in the U.S. this years is Quincy Hall and he's not on the relay; the U.S. does not have a single athlete who has run sub-45 this year. - It does not look good for us.
USA medals in all but none gold?

I agree, no having Bromell, Felix and Wilson is a big hit.
Sitting in the airport on my way to the Bahamas, Cas Laxon and some Brazilian athletes near by.

Ran in Chrishuna Williams leaving the airport, I told her that the 4x8 would have to average 2.01 to make the podium and she said we plan to do better than that. Saw Elaine Thompson in line at customs, traveling with Jamaica team admins. This is the first time I've seen her close up, see looked a little smaller than I expected. This is almost always the case. Stopped by the Breezes Resort for breakfast and ran into nearly all of the big nation athletes.
bumping it up as it's about to start
This is first world relays I'm missing in person and I cant watch tonight as I have plans. A bit bummed as I really enjoyed this meet.
So you need a separate Track and Field package at $69.99. Thanks NBC.
Anyone have a stream or know how to watch if you don't have $70 to spend on NBC sports??
I'm calling Japan for Gold in the 4x100
WatchAthletics.com
Stream option 2.
I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss universal sports, anyone know how to watch in the U.S, the NBC website does not list the event
as mentioned, you would have to buy the track pass for $69.99. I'm watching the CBC broadcast. Don't recognize some of the announcers (dan O'Brien is one of them), but they are doing a good job so far. In stadium PA duties being handled by paul swangard and ato boldon, so that will be done capably.
Thanks. Much appreciated
