Sounds like an alternative fact for "I'm not in shape."

Definitely not the case.
Editor's update: Here is Suhr's full statement as posted on Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/jenn.suhr/posts/1454169617973512:0She said she was frustrated with USA Track & Field. Anybody know what's going on? LRC Editor's update: Here is Suhr's full statement as posted on Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/jenn.suhr/posts/1454169617973512:0This does nothing to clarify what her problem with USATF is. Why is she being so vague?I hope this is not a publicity stunt. She doesn't seem like the type.
Can anyone read between the lines of this statement and hazard a guess as to what she's talking about?
Appears to be a bold move. But... isn't the most important part of a protest bringing the issue at hand to the forefront? Seems she forgot to tell us what the problem is.
Doesnt like the progression on bars is what I heard.
Yeah it can't be a protest if you don't explain what you want to change. Pro athletes always look so stupid making "statements" on Facebook.
she sounds like whiny Kara Goucher.

Apparently she's a proponent of the Kara Goucher method of raising issues.
Unfortunately, it's very typical of Letsrun to post babble like this on its front page like it's some thunderclap of a revealing quote and say, "Yet another controversy at a national championship," all without knowing what the problem is or whether the "controversy" is even real.
"Jenn Suhr withdraws from USA Indoor Nationals, makes cryptic Facebook post" would have been better.

This. What a useless "full statement" this is.
I guess it's really a petty and trivial issue for the spoiled track and field brats because they are too apprehensive to even say specifically what the problem is! Why are they scared about being open on issues? It's not going to be solved if you won't even mention what it is! No wonder this sport is not major.
Im not sure how many of you have a ever seen her at a big meet with her husband/coach. Its something to behold, the constant go to the fence for advice, the glazed look over to him, the crazy prancing about, an innocent bystander would say , wack job. Now she is posting excuses/rants for not going to nationals. A fair and equal playing field? As somebody has an advantage over her? The only complainers might be the distance folks having altitude to deal with, sprinters, jumpers, throwers no issues.
Easy guess the competition has surpassed her. She is no longer queen bee of the vault.
If she is on any type of national team financial support, I would suggest it be reduced for not attending a national championship as it should all athletes.

Shoot the messenger. It amazes me that you are blaming the media.
An Olympic gold medallist and world record holder pulls out of USAs and you ar mad at us?
Yes, I know she's the same woman who doesn't want the Olympic Trials to be held but this is a big story. Imagine if Payton Manning pulled out of a game complaining about the NFL, you'd blame the media for publicizing it before they had a chance to get all of the details from Manning.
Please.

I have seen this and agree it is weird. In fact, I last saw this at last year's indoor nationals.
I'm not sure what she thinks is wrong with the meet. Last year the meet seemed fine from an athlete's perspective. Was it a perfectly run meet? No, but it wasn't awful. I actually posted a critique on these boards last year right after it. My summary was basically "meet is ok, some small issues could be improved."
Honestly, my biggest complaint was that athletes aren't given a good place to watch the rest of the meet.
Sound like she's tired of competing against drug abusing he/shes. Good for her. If everybody did that, it would force the USATF to address the issue.....or go out of business.
Jenn withdrew for one reason and one reason only.
Sandi Morris.
By withdrawing, avoids getting beat and having her value decline. By making a fuss about the height progression, she gets a convenient excuse and can keep her sponsor happy.
Note that Sandi, nor ANY of the other competitors are pulling out in protest. They are competing.
Just go back and look at Rick Suhr's posts the day of the final in the PV in Rio and ask why would any coach post that about their athlete / spouse on the day of an Olympic final.
And Rojo -- if it is such a big story that she pulled out, then why not write about the dozens of other Olympic medalists who declined to even enter the meet. It is indoors, the exhibition season of professional track and field.

You continue to be the king of moronic metaphors that are in no way comparable or equal. Keep up the good work rojo!

Is the height progression why? Where was that mentioned in post of hers
