Moving to Milwaukee and have been trying to find some elite groups to train with or just a few other people. Anyone know of anyone?

The town known for custard ice cream, beer, and butter burgers? You will probably have better luck finding an elite bowling team.
Been living in the Milwaukee-Madison area for a. I know everything runner/running in town and, man, you are just sh!t out of luck. You'd be lucky if Pete Henkes shared his ice cream with you let alone pay for your shoes and other running necessities through Wisconsin Runner.
Best bet is to pick up some Saturday hours at the local running store and see if you can join the company team. In my experience, skill hardly matters to earn a spot on their roster. You must be of a certain ability (not running 30-minute 5ks) but you don't have to be an All-American.
sorry I cant help.... wrote:

Or an elite sheepshead team if you're not athletic enough to bowl.
Milwaukee and Madison are their own separate areas, but ok.
I believe Performance Running has an elite team? Could have sworn there was another Milwaukee-based team with legit runners as well, but can't find them on the interwebs. Let me ask around and get back to this thread.
Depending on where you live, you could always check out some north suburban Chicago clubs too. I know Jenny Spangler has an elite team that is more northern IL focused - but then you might as well check out Madison teams too since both areas are a little over an hour away from MKE.
Call up Tommy Breitbach

If you're from Wisconsin that is the post of the year.
good luck with that bruh. i read about some schoolteacher in Milwaukee (I think?) who hit the OTQ at Chicago Marathon a year or two back. really the only thing you've got going at this point is proximity to Chicago

What do you consider Elite? What event will you be training for?
Where do you actually plan to live?
I consider elite to be sub 14:20 ish for 5k and like in the 3:47 range for 1500m.
Hey, are you still living/training in MKE?
Milwaukee ?? Dr. Trump said it is a “Horrible” city !!
BREAKING: Athing Mu running 800m in Gainesville on Friday at Holloway Pro Classic
Jakob chugs almost an entire 32-oz sports drink in 6 seconds during interview
I don't believe Jakob is clean. injured and runs 3:26.7 a bit later?
After Jakob's 3:26, Kerr's chance of winning in Paris has INCREASED
Can we talk about how crazy hard this Olympic marathon course is?
