How about YOU try & keep up and read the other pageS devoted to Ping?
I saw a thread about the race earlier this morning mentioning Grace Ping but it was deleted before I could read it.
The question is does Tinman write the workouts for Grace Ping who started training at 7000 feet in Utah.
She was doing interval workouts with her dad. Is that still happening?
Runner's World:
"Since May 1, Schwartz has been coaching Ping remotely. Ping runs a maximum of roughly 45 miles per week, though she mostly measures her runs by time now. Though the new training has worked out well for Grace, Ryan, who does whatever Grace does, said he thinks he’s getting a little slower."
Father 16:01, mother 17:58
How long before a Kenyan '13 year old' runs 14:45?
So is Schwartz aka tinman?

So was the change in stimulus 3 months of altitude and CV Training?
I used to live in Silicon Valley.... I'm guessing this Silicone valley of which you speak is either in SoCal or near Vegas
She moved to Park City Utah 7000 feet and raced in California at a lower altitude.
She must have just turned 13. It worries me a little, this high level of push and intensity for such a young girl. Hope she is one that keeps ripping right thru it all. Think she went 4th at NXN SW where AF ran last week in New Mexico girls race.

How many user names will you post under. Grace will crush your NXN favorite. Accept your loss.

45 miles a week
7 minute pace
5.25 hours
She's running 45-50 minutes a day on average.
Most jr high sports teams practice 1-2 hours a day.

Impressive to say the least but lets see if she is still running at age 20.
Odds are she will be out of the sport long before then due to injuries and burnout from her parents and coach pushing her too hard too soon.
At age 13 she should not even be running in road races because it's too hard on a child's legs and feet.
Who cares how fast kids are before the age of 16? No one!!!
Report back in 7 years please
Um, ever heard of Jordan Hasay?

Boys compete is manly sports well before the age of 13. Football, baseball, basketball, etc. But in your small mind little girls should be banned from all sports. They might beat your older, slower teenage girl runner.
Very few 13 year old BOYS can run that fast.
