Well done to the runner Gwen Jorgensen who won gold in triathlon
When did you run AND swim at D1? clueless much? and where's your gold? Lol
Yea, look at Webb, piece of cake.
Being 2x Big Ten track champion = "half decent"? And she went to school to swim, not run. She is top 8 American 10k runner right now.
31:41 split in an ITU race lol. She should quit messing around and go after Huddle's AR!
LOL.......Running is the easiest leg of the triathlon. A good swimmer who later trained in cycling and running would smoke a skinny runner who learns to float and ride a two wheeler......every time.

Well then, let's roll. Hell everyone on this site is a great runner.
She qualified for Big Ten in swimming and was a track All-American. Seems way better than "half decent" to me.
What are your accomplishments?

maybe, but theyre ugly a.f!
skinny runners look great. tri-ers, swimmer suck with their big ugly bodies. gtfo.
Keep it elegant, man, slim it down!
In 2014, Gwen beat Eloise Wellings in a 10k road race by 30 seconds. Wellings was 10th in Rio 10k (ahead of Infeld) and 9th in Rio 5k. I guess all three are half decent.

yup, triathlon courses are notoriously accurate, right down to the meter...not! doesn't matter that its the olympic games, ITU rules state that it must be "within 5%" (or was it 10%? not joking!) of the stated distance, in order to "count." for all we know, she ran 9.5 or even 9.0 km. no way in hell she's holding down a sub 32 off of the bike, sorry folks.

The women's 10K record is about 3 minutes slower than Men's. So say that is equivalent to a 28:41 men's time. On a track I would say about a 27:50. ( about 25 second per 5k). So that is saying a male ran a 27:50-equivalent after swimming almost a mile and biking 25 miles. Are you nuts?
It aint easy being Green.

I dont know what the beach [or any other location] has to do with it.
I admit that I should have said "swimmers turned tri-er" instead of "swimmers" but other than that it's a question of taste.I will choose a Bishop, Sharp, Lindh or Rupp, Kiprop body over those swim team bodies every day.
