for repeated violations of USATF policies and procedures regarding credentialing at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Track & Field in Eugene, Oregon.
Giving seats away to people Ms. Hightower doesn't like?
She was trying to keep all the drug cheats (coaches and athletes) out.
What coaches & athletes were there that were suspended or weren't supposed to be?
In the good news department, Hightower and Max will be audited or die in a plane crash some day. Karma.
Does anyone actually know the reason?
And what's going on with the Youth Committee lawsuit or arbitration?
So looking forward to Vin Lannana running to replace Hightower. This sh!tshow has gone on far too long.

That would be replacing a well meaning idiot with a competent person whose only goal is himself.
Not sure which is worse. But I guess if nothing else, it would be a change.
I would love to hear how Baghdad Bobbi spins this one?
I have no idea why Humphries got sacked. But this is an interesting turn of events, because my sources say she was the one who overturned officials at USATF Indoor '14 and DQed Grunewald.
No update? It would behoove USATF to get themselves a competent P.R. person or spin doctor. They are reminding me more & more of Trump everyday. Before you have time to digest their latest transgression or gaffe, they've moved on & committed a new one. Not one USATF 'employee' was able to answer me why for 10 days with the heavy USATF presence, there was nowhere for fans to sign up & become members at the Trials. One USATF official didn't believe me & got on his phone while I waited and he was as perplexed as myself. Whatever. Hate to kick a dog while it's down but WTF...
Let's keep Donald Trump out of this -- unless you want me to start comparing Sue Humphrey to Crooked Hillary and all the unscrupulous things she has done over the years. It's a long list!

I have seen no evidence at all that Lananna is interested in promoting himself. To me, it appears that he has an extremely optimistic vision for promoting T&F and has the necessary skills to make some amazing steps toward that goal.
And no, I am in no way associated with TrackTown USA, UO, Eugene, USATF, etc. I'm just a longtime observer.

It would be really great to find out more about this palace intrigue. Since it appears that her USATF career is over forever, you'd think that she might speak out. She has a a Twitter account but no posts for a few years.
Brojos or some other bloggers should try interviewing her. Sometimes it's amazing what people will tell you.

Ditto. He's a track fan. Period.

Something like letting your son and nephew play on the HJ pit in the warm up area while athletes were getting ready for the most important event of their lives??
ooooh, sounds like someone knows something.

What I meant by that was that his interest is in lining his own pocket. Tracktown USA is a massive conflict of interest.

At past championships they offered members a VIP area with a nice "thank you" gift and drinks & refreshments and members-only autograph sessions with current and past athletes. Outside this area you could sign up to be a member.

Yeah I've seen that before but there was no such area at the OT this year. Found it very odd. IMO, you shouldn't have been able to purchase the 8-Day package without already being a member. In other words, make the membership worth something.
