Hello folks,
What is the current consensus on glute activation? I am your garden variety older, injured distance runner. Currently I am nursing a deep piriformis like injury (no official diagnosis yet).
Various people I've spoken with (coaches, strength coaches etc) throw around words such as firing, activation of the glutes. Is there something to it, or it is a bunch of Hocus-Pocus?
I'll be glad to provide more context/information.
