Almost $1 million. I didn't do much. Real estate just exploded.

Usually I'm a low income artist, but 2005 brought $410K in real estate profit. Either way, I pay myself in time to do what I want, my definition of happiness (if not wealth).
You copied one of my now retired pseudonyms, you bitch!
Almost a million in the stock market. It did not make me feel wealthy because I lost a similar amount of money the previous year.
86k. I average 74k
It just goes to student loans.
62,000... yes, BC I only work 9 months

Unless you actually sold this real estate and pocketed close to $1,000,000 you did not make that much. An asset appreciating is not the same thing as actually "making" that money.
$49,000.
not bad for me.
Do I feel wealthy ?
no.
i inherited $200,000,000

Not sure about that. When my stock portfolio drops $250K in a year, I say I lost a quarter mil in the market last year. Conversely, if it goes up by the same, I don't need to liquidate my holdings to claim I've gained.
Don't think it's too much of a stretch to apply the same principles to the real estate market.
Around $7 million. Yes.

There is a major difference here. For example, if you purchase $250,000 in stocks and your portfolio drops $250,000 you have indeed lost that money. If you purchase $250,000 and it appreciates in value to 500,000 and then drops to 250,000 - you have not lost 250,000 - you have a net of zero.
Do you lost 10,000 when you drive a new 20,000 car off the lot?
About $400,000 and counting (We are talking about years on Neptune, correct?)
180k then went back to school the next year. I didn't feel particularly wealthy but being single and in my 20s and no debt besides a mortgage I was definitely living comfortably. Now I'm a poor student haha.
22k. And this year I plan on 16. The more I wean off money the wealthier I feel.
Ummm "my friend" worked an off the books job for a couple of years and because of the no tax collected implication had his highest take home year just shy of 100,000 in '96. He did draw a minimum wage check from a carting and waste management company beard his other job.
A little over $80k, I think. Last year, half that. In NYC, that's beyond pathetic.
We have an apartment that could probably sell for a couple of million. Do I feel wealthy? Hell, no.
Last year my wife and I pulled in a somewhat respectable $63,000. This did not make us rich but we felt relatively comfortable. We were able to give our %10 back to charity and still were able to have a nice summer trip to the local lake. Unfortunately we do live in a somewhat higher cost area and have to pay $800/month in rent so we have to be somewhat careful with our money. Hopefully we can break through the $70000 barrier in a few years and then I will feel wealthy. Here I come 1 percenters, will be joining your team soon.
This year was my highest to date at $118k. Wife makes about $65k. We are mid thirties in New England. The combined $180k allows us to be comfortable and indulge in a few things we enjoy with our two kids.
I make roughly 12k a year cleaning pools 4 days a week. Currently going to school, can't wait to make 15k a year as I'm paying back student loans the rest of my life. Yay, go team USA! Making America great again?
