I just watched Flotrack's video about her workout. Predictions on how she'll do in NYC? Will she finish?

i didn't watch the flotrack video but i will guess she DNFs
She cut her workout short in the video.
2:31:27.58
With the course being a toughy I say a great race for her would be 2:37. However I predict 2:39:59
2:43 or DNF
More interested in Thweatt's debut. 2:28 to 2:32. 2:26 not out of reach.
Has she ever run a difficult course before? I can only recall her running flat, fast marathons. I predict a good race through 18 then a ride on the fade train.
2:46:33
2:35
I know, for me, if I bomb a workout I usually crush my next workout/race. Hopefully this is the case for Alana and she runs a respectable mid 2:30s time.
I think it will probably be DNF. Especially with how they keep talking about how she had a cold. They could use it as an excuse.

Agree with this on Alana, but she'll likely get only 50% of her appearance fee if she DNFs.
Thweatt won't break 2:30 in her debut at NYC.
What were the splits in the workout? That would give a better indication without wild guesses. What is the taper plan?
Wild guess is at least the A standard. 2:36:59
Follow the link for splits. They are provided.[

A Standard doesn't apply to Alana. Man, I just hope she finishes. Are there official pacers at NYC or will she have to "find" a group to run with?
Will she go off with Professional Women? That could lead to some lonely miles, but also maybe some TV time in the end if elite men catch her.

Started too fast? Smart to end the workout.
IMO, that workout is worth 2:36:59. 5:45 is too fast first rep.
5:59 possible for all reps, IMO, giving just under 2:37:00 if rest of the distance is there.
gosh what cumbersome mechanics. had never seen her run before, sorta glad i watched that video. girl aint ever gonna go under 2:30 with those mechanics. even amy hastings labors less.
mechanics not important, only speed. look at Geptoo with side kick. you develop your own most efficient stride with miles.
