Tried to Farah it and failed badly.
Maybe if Salazar was spending less time "hitting back" at doping witnesses and more time coaching, Levins wouldn't have been beaten by a bunch of chumps.

I know you are trolling but at least two of those chumps have faster PR's than Levins.
Chumps? Barrios was the best non african in the 5,000m final in 2008 (7th) and made the final in 2012. Por favor cállate el hocico...!!

torrence has run 1:45 and 3:33, its no wonder he outkicked levins off of 14min pace. and barrios has run 13:09, which is comparable to everything levins has done (i know levins has never done well at 5k and should be closer to 13:00)

Play nice...might also be a good idea to check the spellaroni.
Surprised to see him only 5th. Good run by Torrence though to get silver.

Troll Fail. Barrios and Torrence are scrubs and chumps ? That's some funny stuff, bro. They both have faster 5K PRs than Levins.

Which would make running the first at 15:00 pace poor tactics for Levins, right? Just a boring warmup for a 1000 against a 1:45/3:33 guy.
What up with one Rosa brother being a DNS and the other being DFL among the legitimate competitors? Not looking good for Stanfurd in the fall.
Alberto's training to run slow and kick is archaic and doesn't work well in modern times, the only exception if everyone else runs slow too and you have the one fastest kicker in the field. But overall it is a very stupid tactic and a poor way to train.

Good point. All of the recent olympics/WC races have been hammered from the gun.

Wrong, they've all been jogfests, which proves his point.
it's called sarcasm, you dingus
It was silly go Cam not to push the pace. Those that think it is suicidal are ignorant to the sport.
Cam has mediocre closing speed so he should not have the same race plan as Mo.

So why don't modern athletes train to run fast and then kick? Like Peter Snell trained.

Is this why Levins, Osako and Rowbury all broke NRs this season?

Bass ackwards much?
Definitely. It's only the Pan Am games and he was on home (sort of) turf. He should have gone out at least at 13:20 pace. Reasonably good chance he could have broken the field by 3k and pushed it home for gold instead of going home devastated.
One tactic can be beat wrote:
