GO BIG RED!
Congrats man! Course looks insane.
i was up there spectating today after running it the last couple years. sage won by a half an hour or so, didn't even look winded when he came through. chatted for a minute, says he still wants to get his OTQ later this fall!
mile 27 was 1,100 feet + of gain.jesus

That is because the U.S. Mtn Championships were taking place elsewhere deciding the U.S. team. Just saying.
duck duck duck duck duck duck duck...
Hey thanks for the support - great seeing you guys out there!Mountain Championships:Keep in mind I toed the line last year against Pat Smyth at Speedgoat...12km trail/mountain running is a totally different realm of MUT running when compared to a mountain-ultra of 50km+ . It's all about the course profile. For sure I'd get my doors blown off at a shorter race right (Speedgoat is part of the build-up for UTMB100). I've run on the US Mtn. team before- great experience but I know I'm less competitive at the shorter distances.

Nichols is no slouch although he definitely didn't seem to have high hopes for the day coming in a bit tired. The mountain running champs are definitely a different beast but Speedgoat was definitely not as competitive as in the past with that taking place on the same day, as well as Speedgoat no longer being a part of the Skyrunner series.

Oh my god. I did not realize how steep some of these climbs are. Looking at the GAP on Strava is blowing my mind right now. Lots of people on LetsRun bash ultra-runners but running a course like that that quickly is really a running feat. Lots of respect, Sage.
Great to see Don Sage back in action and dominating like his days at York!

Thanks, "Teach."
Now if you can just tell us what was misspelled in the OP or the thread title, I'm sure we'd be very grateful.

Nothing, you sillyass. This is just the handle I've been using for a while.
Lighten up, Francis.
Sage, did you train on the course?

Honest answer, awesome. Love that you reply to letsrun threads. Big fan.
Damn, I thought this one was about Sage Rosenfels. Dude was a baller back in the day, and seems like the kind that could succeed at ultras.
Sage, what fall marathons are you looking at trying for the OTQ in?
I'm just a fan, man. I'm sure you can find posts of me on here where I do bash ultras
Sage, when are you doing the JFK 50, so that the headline can be "Canady wins Kennedy!" ? Or maybe the John Candy Memorial 10K "Canady Wins Candy!" or how about "Canady Wins Canada Day!"
Ok I'll stop now.
I was hoping this was about Don Sage!
