I think that I would like to change careers and focus on something mathematics related, because I have a natural gift for mathematics and it seems like all the finest career paths are math based. I say difficult because I like a good challenge and I figure that difficulty also weeds out the competition. Plus, I would prefer a field that is more dependent on hard skills that are difficult to master and less dependent on people's opinions (although I realize the importance of schmoozing). Also, I like working with my hands and have a natural attraction to many machines/gadgets.
For capabilities sake, I was able to breeze through all my college-level math courses in calculus and statistics, and my test scores put me in the 90-99th percentile. I'm no math genius, by any means, I'm wondering more if those capabilities might signify that I can handle the most difficult/rigorous of mathematical disciplines.
Any suggestions?
