I've heard the...do not increase more than 20% weekly rule...but then I read somewhere that you should run the same weekly mileage for a few weeks, and then make a greater jump in mileage and stay at that...any ideas?

There is the general 10% rule with the 5th week a recovery week. But, I think you have to be right on your game with nutrition, sleep, program, mental toughness, and have the bio-mechanics of a gazelle.

I took 3 weeks off at x-mass, actually 6,8, and 14 mile weeks. Started last week with 60, my goal was 70 but got a little lazy. I say run as much as you can as soon as you can. If you feel like you\'re doing too much take a light day and hit it again.
