It is tremendous and I'm trying to contact whoever took it but can't figure it out.
I'm hoping maybe some of the older people on LRC might know.
Feel free to post here or email me

The guy in the middle looks like Mark Sisson (Emily's dad). At the time he lived in the San Francisco Bay Area so this might be a Runner's World photo. I'm not sure but Bob Anderson who is a good friend of mine and the founder of RW might know. I'll check with him when he gets back from Carlsbad.

Thanks.
Steve Austin ran pretty fast...

I thought that Emily's dad was a different Mark Sisson. (One a Midwestern miler, the other a Californian marathoner and, later, triathlete.) But I had the same thought -- Bob Anderson would be the first person I'd ask.
I think you're correct. Different Sisson's. My bad. Good catch,
But the guy in the photo looks very much like the Mark Sisson I knew and sometimes trained with. The photo reminds me of some of the ad photos in RW from that era.
I talk to Bob almost weekly so I'll check.
In the link below, the man (Mark Sisson, architect of triathlon's original anti-doping plan) and woman on the right appear to be the same as Wejo's pic. They are noted as being husband and wife, with their daughter between them (not Emily).

I was going to say Jeff Johnson without looking at the it, but obviously not. this is a stock photo, probably should check Getty Archives.. they got everything.
Boy, I miss the 70s, when the air was clean and sex was easy.
Dukes of Hazard, CHIPs..and Three's Company were the epitome of intellectual fare for that decade, but you had to get up to change the channel.

I'm glad this thread happened as I wasn't familiar with Mark. Interesting story.

If that the runner Mark Sisson then he ran sub 2:20 for the marathon, and finished 4th at the Ironman. Yup, a pure hobbyjogger.
scroll down to Feb 1982.
If anyone has an email for Mark Sisson email me at wejo@letsrun.com. Haven't heard back from him via contact form on his website.
want this poster!
He does have a twitter...
My guess is random models, not competitive runners at all.
I tried tweeting at him but no response.
