Just wondering if anyone is either from Edinburgh, or has been there, and knows of some good runs, particularly on soft surfaces. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know, thanks.

I live in Edinburgh at the moment and there are loads of good places to do some runs. I would recommend Holyrood Park (venue for european cross next year), or particularly Colinton Dell, Corstorphine Hill, or the Pentland Hills, all in the south / west of the city. Absolutely freezing up here at the moment though.
If you want more details, email me
Hey. I'm here in Edinburgh for the semester...I live right by Arthur's Seat and Holyrood Park. I'll send an email your way.
Interesting.
Just out of curiosity, how cold does it get when it's freezing there? And is there a lot of snow?
I've been there a few times in the summer and think it's a great city.
William Wallace is 7 feet tall and if he were here he'd consume the English with lightning from his eyes and fireballs from his arse.
True. True. But would his head, or any other part of his anatomy be above the snow?

Last night was minus 10 degrees C just outside the city, although this is not usual. No snow yet but a very thick frost.
