The mistake by all logical counts is how can Alan be ranked ahead of Meb in the American AOY, when Meb was ranked ahead of Alan in the 5000m and 10000m. They each ran a marahon with Alan's was faster; however, is that the reason he is ranked ahead of Meb? Which should be higher on the American AOY rankings and why?
