Umm, ever heard of Jordan Hasay
Didn't he beat a bunch of no name Europeans? Great to see tho
Heard from a reliable source he did 32x400 in 66 last week so he knew he was ready to win.
Great to see Ritz running well again. Judging by his kit, I guess he is no longer an official NOP member, but still with Nike in some fashion. I know he moved back to Michigan, but I thought I read somewhere that he was still being advised by Salazar.

I thought his quote about staying healthy and being a little undertrained was a pretty big hint that he was done with the Salazar way of doing things. I would guess that he just wants to get back to the Olympics one more time and call it a career. He will just need to be in sub 2:10 shape in a year for the trials, which should not be a big deal for him.

Funny you should say that sub 2:10 shape isn't a big deal for him when not coached by Salazar. How many times has Ritz demonstrably been in that kind of shape? If this gets answered with any kind of conversions ("his 60 min half clearly showed he was in AR shape!!!11!!) or coulda-woulda-shoulda BS, it's the wrong answer.
How about when being coached by someone else?
I think that he broke 2:10 three times (2:09:55 trials, 2:07:47 Chicago, 2:09:45 Chicago) and was probably in sub 2:10 shape at other times but got injured.
If Meb and Abdi aren't in front of him, 2:12 will get him to the Olympics...
Abdi?! No.
He also ran 2:10 flat in London
Does Abdi have a qualifier yet?
Not exactly no name! 2012 European Cross Champ Andrea Lalli and Defending European Marathon Champ Daniele Meucci
Lalli is a Cross specialist and Muecci has solid PR's/credentials. 27:32 for 10 K isn't bad

Yes of course he does.

You can take Ritz out of the Ducks, but you can't take the DUCK out of Ritz.
Nice win...against competition 30 seconds slower in the 10,000.
Let's see if he bothers to line up in any of the really significant Euro XC races.
It's always hard to figure out the extent of your inanity--always an endless difficulty with trolls. In any case, this Saturday Ritz is racing in Edinburgh at 4k against Lagat, Kiprop, Jairus Birech, Japhet Korir, Thomas Longosiwa, Edwin Soi, Augustine Choge, and Yomif Kejelcha. Considering Ritz was out essentially all of last year, and clearly is not close to being in top shape, he is scarcely ducking the competition.

ONE OF THE LAMEST LINES I HAVE EVER SEEN, I WANT TO RKO YOU BAD
He says he wants to run a marathon this year, and then the Marathon Trials in February 2016. So I assume he won't run a Chicago or New York marathon in the fall, too close to the trials. That leaves London or Boston this spring?
To me, Ritz seems like a man without a distance. I guess the marathon is probably his best chance to get on another Olympic team, but it just seems like he's better suited to cross-country running and distances up to 13.1 miles. He's a beast at those distances. But it seems like they are too low-profile for him, and track races and marathons (which carry more prestige) don't suit his strengths quite as well, or at least they haven't in the past (except for a few exceptions).
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
