Long story short: Right leg, anterior tibial tendonitis (self-diagnosed, per running books and internet). I haven't run for 14 days...Have been doing extra stretching, and anterior lower leg muscle exercises 2X per day, as well as transverse friction massage (I'm not a PT, nor do I play one on TV...but since I can't afford to have it done, I make do with doing it myself).
Bottom line: No pain today, or the past five days, although there is an occasional phantom twinge on, of all places, the top of my foot. With the usual disclaimers waived, and in you opinion, fair reader, am I safe to start back slowly tomorrow?
